This Bullfix Radiator Fixing Kit allows you to install standard convector radiators onto plasterboard walls. These heavy duty fixings give a strong hold and are designed specifically for use on plasterboard. They can be used on dot & dab, stud and insulation backed plasterboard.
Our fixings work with the standard radiator brackets that come with your radiator. Simply replace your usual fixings with these Bullfix universal ones to give a strong hold.
Plasterboard is weakest where you have drilled the hole. Fixings that have sharp metal or plastic near this hole will weaken over time. But Bullfix places the load away from the hole, giving you a strong fixing that won’t work loose.
Easily install these fixings in 5 simple steps:
- Drill a 20mm hole using a spade bit
- Insert the collar
- Make the fixing into a fish shape
- Insert the fixing into the collar, tap it with a hammer if needed
- Screw into the hole, which appears when the fixing is correctly installed, using the washers and screws provided
For use on stud walls, dot & dab and insulation-backed plasterboard of standard thickness(12.5 mm – 16mm). Only a 7mm cavity is required*

Simple to install. I have found however that they often need a tighten. Using loctite with them might solve this? I use a different product due to this issue.
The Ledge –
I reattached a radiator bracket with this kit. The original fixings, which were those screw in spiral aluminium type, had pulled out. I didn’t have the right drill bit – a 20mm spade bit- make sure you do. Fixing is really straight forwar. Push collar into the hole, add the fixing, give it a gentle tap to spread the arms behind the plasterboard and fix whatever you are fixing with the supplied screws. I gave the brackets a good pull before I rehung the rad, and it seemed firm. I can’t see it falling off again, even with little tiny people in the room pulling on it.

Bought these to hang two new rads after having walls insulated & plasterboarded. Straightforward instructions are good. Get a 20mm spade when ordering them – it doesn’t come with one. Would buy again

The fitting takes a bit of getting use to, and has a bit of a knack to doing it. Once you’ve sorted that out, you’ll be right. I’ve fitted a big tv onto a heavy metal adjustable bracket onto a 12.5mm plasterboard. The tv is being adjusted constantly as I use it to play games on. It’s absolutely rock-solid! I’ve got all the confidence that this could easily hold a radiator that has been commissioned onto your central heating.
A shade expensive, but for the job they do, absolutely marvellous. Recommended.

If you are hanging a radiator you’ll need to have a secure anchor fixing and this is a good option for plasterboard. This is a pack of 4 fixings, so you’ll need a pack for each radiator you plan to hang (or get a big box of universal fixings and some washers). These are easy to use – drill a hole in the plasterboard and screw them in tight. When tightened they are good and strong and offer lots of support.
At £6.99 for 4 fixings these are terrible value. But quality is ok. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful
