  • no waiting for filler to dry
  • little mess

Brilliant – exactly what the situation demanded when I encountered the shower pipe behind the wall. Couldn’t have finished my project without these.

Haven’t used these yet – what makes them excellent also makes them a last resort. This is the nuclear option when drywall screws fail. You must drill a hole large enough for the anchor to pass through then spread open. They supply a large 20mm spade bit (over 3/4 inch). Anyone who’s used spade bits knows they need centre material to bite. A guide plate keeps the bit centred since the failed hole offers nothing to grip. Cleverly, the guide has both alignment marks for centring over the failed hole and spikes for secure positioning while drilling. They claim 225lb capacity – seems substantial, but I’d confidently use them for anything I’ve previously wall-mounted. Would also substitute nicely for toggles when hanging microwaves. Including the correct drill bit adds good value.

Fitted the Bullfix drywall anchor kit and found it surprisingly effective for light construction and home repairs. Claimed 293lb drywall capacity gave me confidence mounting shelves and decorations. Fitting was straightforward – no toggle bolts or complicated tools – just drill, insert, mount. Price point seems very reasonable for quality anchors given their versatility in hollow wall applications. Only minor issue – instructions could be clearer for first-timers – but overall solid value.

An outstanding solution for sorting out or replacing failed wall fixings in drywall. The pack of four includes robust anchors, screws, and a practical repair drill guide ensuring simple, accurate installation. Performs brilliantly across different wall types – dot and dab, stud, and hollow walls – providing secure, stable grip where other wall plugs have let you down. The components feel robust and built to last. A cleverly engineered kit that takes the hassle out of dealing with loose or damaged fixings. Dependable, professional-grade, and perfect for DIYers and tradespeople alike.

Brilliant product. Heavy curtains in our living room had no stud for the middle support so we used an anchor. Months later it was hanging by a thread and curtains nearly came down. This product sorted the failed anchor and the curtains are back up. Clever design – holding up brilliantly, pun intended. Excellent product.

Thoroughly impressed with this repair kit. Several wall plugs in my drywall had stopped gripping properly, and this kit completely sorted the issue. The anchors feel extremely robust and provide rock-solid grip – miles better than ordinary plastic wall plugs. The included drill guide makes fitting a breeze, and the pack contains everything required including screws. Performs brilliantly on dot and dab and hollow walls. Used it to put a shelf back up. Genuinely one of those products that delivers exactly what’s promised.

Always on the lookout for optimal drywall fixings, and this was a new discovery for me. The Bullfix anchors themselves are their standard design, similar to what other manufacturers offer, but the guide and drill bit included make this kit somewhat distinctive and specialised. The fixings work excellently, though the price is on the higher side.

I’ve mounted plenty of heavy items on plasterboard using grip-its, geefix, and expanding anchor bolts. These work on the same principle – spreading weight across a larger surface area – and I’m confident they’ll perform excellently. As this is a repair kit for failed installations where holes already exist, you get a guide preventing the drill bit from wandering since there’s nothing for the tip to grip. Small prongs secure it to the wall – brilliant concept. The drill bit and 4 fixtures with bolts are included, offering decent value since the guide and bit can be reused. I’d considered these previously but always stuck with my usual fixings because these cost nearly £1 each, more than other options available. What really frustrated me was not understanding how they work – I kept trying to insert them incorrectly. I scanned the barcode on the packaging to watch the video (visible in my photo), but it was hopeless – rushed through to loud rock music (nothing against that, just not helpful here) and impossible to follow at that speed. Found some better tutorials online and everything clicked. You form them into a fish shape and insert tail-first, then the square side opens at the front while the wings spread at the back (see my last 2 photos). Obvious once you know, but they never mentioned the fish anywhere, and the images were equally unhelpful. Some might grasp it immediately, but everyone should be able to figure it out from the provided information alone. Particularly given the premium price. So no full marks from me, though these are genuinely excellent.

My wall-mounted makeup mirror’s anchor bolt had loosened badly – the whole mirror wobbled whenever I adjusted the arm. With daily arm movement, I needed a repair that would handle constant use – this Bullfix replacement kit delivered. Removing the old anchor proved trickiest – loose enough to wobble but not enough to extract easily – once sorted, the repair proceeded smoothly. The kit includes a blade drill bit for the new hole – unexpected bonus since I wasn’t sure we had the correct size. The drilling guide grips firmly but leaves four small drywall holes (eight for me, replacing two anchors). Understandable since that’s how it stays steady while creating the larger hole, though slightly annoying that repairs create their own patching needs. The collar produces clean edges, preventing drywall tears or hole expansion when tapping in the new anchor. Tapping it in initially concerned me – wanted to avoid mistakes leading to bigger projects. The process was straightforward enough, but I’d have preferred a flat tapping surface rather than the two points formed after pushing into the hole. Without an obvious tapping spot, I worried about proper positioning for correct opening – kept trying to level the two anchor parts perfectly flat. More tapping to flatten just pushed it deeper. Ultimately, as long as the new mounting hole appears while tapping, it’s working correctly. These weren’t product flaws, just my perfectionism – the end result is a robust, quality anchor. At $12.49, pricing seems fair – I’ll keep remaining anchors for future repairs, plus I’ve gained a new drill bit and positioning guide for other projects.

Replaced a troublesome wall anchor I never trusted with my mounted TV’s considerable weight. Fitting was simple and intuitive – the required drill bit for the oversized repair hole is supplied, eliminating guesswork. Once installed, this anchor clearly isn’t going anywhere – I can finally stop worrying about a falling television!

Replaced a couple of poor quality spiral-type fixings left by the previous owner with these. First attempt went brilliantly – strong, solid fixing to the wall. I’ve tried most competitors, and these match anything else I’ve used. That said, I’ve never had a premium plasterboard fixing fail! The real advantage here is the jig for redrilling exactly where the old fixing was. This genuinely addresses a problem I’ve encountered several times, saving considerable time versus remeasuring for new positions. The tool and bit performed excellently. Second location I wanted to use them, I had to abandon – insufficient clearance behind the wall per the instructions. Third attempt, also abandoned – double-thickness plasterboard, and although not stated on packaging or listing, these only accommodate up to 16mm. Overall, they perform well, but only on single plasterboard walls with adequate clearance behind – which admittedly covers the vast majority found in UK homes!

    Discover-It!

Working in maintenance professionally, I mount items, repair drywall, anchor into concrete and drywall constantly. The beauty here is that once anchor holes – especially those twisty drywall types – become oversized, there’s normally no recovery or anchor substitution. Larger sizes exist but eventually fail too, yet you still need that wall-mounted item. Alternative: find a new spot and patch the original, but patches won’t support weight like fresh drywall, and reusing the same spot means major repair work. So these provide an excellent answer. Though fitting is involved, everything a homeowner with a drill or impact driver needs is included for satisfactory results. Around $3 per piece seems pricey, but it’s SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than drywall repair. Overall, a solid solution for oversized holes still needing to bear weight on drywall – strong grip with satisfactory outcomes.

No more hunting for large artwork to hide huge holes from failed anchors and screws. Admittedly nervous first time – the process means enlarging holes using the supplied drill bit. Not only does this system work, these anchors are far stronger than most alternatives. Each supports significant weight without feeling shaky or unstable. Though marketed for repairs, I’ll use them for mounting fixtures or art needing extra wall security. Brilliant – should be in every toolbox!

Previously used these and would strongly recommend. The kit provides everything needed except the drill itself. At £8.75 for just four, they’re not budget-friendly. However, they perform brilliantly. I’ve secured fairly heavy items to plasterboard without any problems. They feel solid, grip firmly, and inspire confidence that your mounted items won’t come crashing down. Pricey, yes, but for dependability and peace of mind, still worth recommending.

Really impressive. The metal template and included spade drill bit make fitting straightforward, and they support substantial weight. They fold scissor-style for insertion into the drilled drywall hole, then snap into position ready for screw tightening. Used these mounting a heavy mirrored metal medicine cabinet in my bathroom – performed brilliantly.

Took a while to grasp how these function, but after watching the video and studying the instructions carefully, using them becomes straightforward. The small metal plate has spikes keeping it steady while drilling, and guides the supplied drill bit – though I favour a tank cutter of equivalent size as it’s gentler on already-damaged plasterboard from previous fixings. Push the ring section into the hole, tap gently until seated, then the second piece locks securely into it. As it enters, it spreads behind the plasterboard. The supplied 20mm screw suits a thin metal plate but isn’t ideal for attaching a 2×1 batten – I’ll source longer screws of matching diameter. The drill bit comes with a protective plastic cover. Unlike some other two-part cavity fixings, these can be removed and reused. Pack contains 4 fixings.

Brilliant product – these anchors outclass the cheap alternatives completely! Fitting was simple using the included bit, and they support heavy items like mirrors and frames effortlessly. Robust, dependable, and worthwhile for sorting failed drywall mountings.

I frequently use large threaded wall anchors. Failures are uncommon but leave substantial holes requiring significant work or relocation. Who knew bigger holes were the solution? Here’s the process: position the metal drill guide over the hole, tap to set the rear spikes into wallboard preventing rotation, use the supplied 20mm spade drill through the guide to clean up and enlarge the hole. The guide keeps the drill positioned even without centre material to bite. Drilling without centre material can wobble – proceed carefully when starting and drill gently. Fit the circular retaining collar to reinforce the hole and hold the spreader. Fold the ears, push the spreader into the collar, tap gently with a mallet to set it. As it enters, ears unfold and screw hole halves align. Insert the screw to lock everything, adjust screw depth for your hanger – done. Result: a very secure hanger rated to 225lbs. Personally, I’d seek a stud for that much weight – the installation is very strong but it’s still hanging in wallboard. Overall, an excellent high-capacity wall fastener belonging in every handyman’s kit.

Initially sceptical, but this kit genuinely delivers what’s promised: a straightforward, heavy-duty answer for sorting failed plasterboard fixings. Everything’s included – anchors, screws, plus a repair drill guide making the whole process simple. The drill guide was particularly valuable – removed all guesswork about hole sizing and gave me confidence I wouldn’t worsen things. Once fitted, the fixings feel absolutely solid. Tested on both hollow and dot-and-dab walls – both times the anchors outperformed the original wall plugs significantly. Remounted a reasonably heavy shelf that had previously pulled away from the plasterboard – now completely secure with zero play. The stability difference is night and day. Instructions are straightforward, even for an occasional DIYer like me. Four anchors per kit represents excellent value given the money and frustration saved versus patching walls or buying multiple wall plug types hoping something works. Bottom line: this kit rescues anyone battling failed plasterboard fixings. Quick, dependable, and leaves you confident your shelves, TV brackets or fixtures won’t come crashing down. Definitely keeping spares in my toolbox. Strongly recommend – Bullfix has nailed it (pun intended).

Had a couple of wall plugs pull clean out of drywall – this kit sorted the problem perfectly. The heavy-duty anchors feel genuinely robust, and the included drill guide ensures simple, precise fitting. Tested on both dot-and-dab and hollow walls – far superior grip compared to standard fixings. Top quality, complete package, and provides genuine confidence when mounting shelves or heavy items. A heavy-duty drywall anchor repair kit specifically designed for replacing pulled-out screw anchors. Includes a drill bit for widening holes and a guide maintaining centre position. The brand also sells these anchors separately for new installations – they support considerable weight. While high-capacity, they do create large holes – though for repairs, you’ve already got one. Functions excellently overall and represents okay value, though pricing seems slightly high.

A complete kit functioning exactly as expected. Just as straightforward to fit as ordinary wall anchors but considerably more dependable. After several wall anchor failures, patching holes and relocating anchors was the only option – this changes everything. May become my standard choice for heavy items. Reliability and robustness appear significantly superior. Wall shelf mounting needs two – roughly $6. Consider what failure costs. Included instructions are poor – there’s a scannable symbol on packaging for instructions, barely better. There’s an Amazon video review worth watching. Once you crack the puzzle, they’re very straightforward. Will update if necessary. Excellent value. Strongly Recommend.

Among the most dependable drywall solutions I’ve encountered. First impression: exceptional durability once fitted. Unlike flimsy alternatives loosening over time, these anchors hold firm providing lasting stability. Anchor quality is excellent – solid materials that won’t strip or crumble during installation, even in challenging drywall conditions. Inspires confidence that mounted items will actually stay put. Functionally, the kit is straightforward and delivers exactly as promised. Versatile enough for various repairs and mounting needs, eliminating frustration from redoing patch jobs later. Value-wise, the Bullfix kit is hard to beat – a well-engineered, heavy-duty solution at a reasonable price, especially versus repeatedly buying cheaper, ineffective alternatives. Overall, delivers on durability, performance, and simplicity – definitely worth keeping available for drywall repairs.

Reviewing the Bullfix Plasterboard Fixing Repair Kit 4 Pack – sorts failed drywall fixings using heavy-duty anchors as an alternative to wall plugs, suitable for dot & dab, stud & hollow walls, with screws & repair drill guide included. Pleased with this purchase. Don’t need it immediately but wanted it in my toolbox for when I do. Contains everything required: four heavy-duty fixings, screws, 20mm drill bit, and guide plate for drilling precisely over damaged holes. Haven’t used it yet but watched several online tutorials demonstrating the straightforward installation. Looks ideal for when ordinary wall plugs fail, particularly in plasterboard. Quality appears excellent and I’m confident it’ll prove useful.

Extremely robust and functional. Excellent value considering their holding capacity. Hole size is relatively large, but that’s what provides the strength. Fitting requires careful attention to pictures and instructions – I inserted one anchor incorrectly and lost it. My fault – attention to detail matters. Supplied screws were too short for my needs – picked up stainless #10 screws locally for extra length in the bathroom.

Attempting to mount a microwave shelf has been incredibly challenging due to awkward positioning combined with significant weight and leverage – especially problematic with no available stud, only plaster wall. Initially tried metal anchors but they just damaged the wall or snapped, so I searched for something capable of handling the load. These Bullfix plugs caught my attention – the substantial footprint suggested better wall grip than my previous anchors, installation looked straightforward with minimal clearance requirements and impressive weight capacity. Used all four across two shelf brackets and immediately encountered significant problems. Despite easy installation (helpful video), the fitted brackets were completely unstable with considerable movement. Both brackets sagged and went out of level – defeating their purpose since they couldn’t properly support the shelf. Eventually removed two fittings and added reinforcement elsewhere to keep things level and bear the weight – essentially negating this product’s purpose. Admittedly, my application was demanding – long brackets creating substantial leverage, plus mounting configuration where weight pulls the fitting rather than compresses it (tiles below prevented reversing the bracket for underneath support). These would likely perform far better with weight closer to the wall or compressive bracket configuration, though I doubt they achieve the advertised 116kg capacity (plaster would crumble first). While acknowledging my challenging circumstances, these failed to deliver on promises. May suit other situations, but for mine – total disappointment.

Appeared ideal for my project – needed backing support after screws pulled from drywall. These plugs, despite ingenious design, grip the included screws too tightly. Fresh from the box, the fit was so tight I needed someone behind the drywall holding the anchor with pliers. No problem – used a 1/4 inch drill to extend the hole and screws cooperated better. Second issue I hadn’t realised – these need a 3/4 inch drywall hole – larger than expected or wanted for this purpose. Keep these factors in mind – they require extra work for specific high-load applications.

For high-strength, secure mounting applications, this product excels. Fitting is very straightforward – drill into drywall using the included bit, insert the second piece, push or tap lightly raising the wings to grip behind the wall, then drive in the screw. Functionally, an excellent wall anchor. You do end up with a substantial wall hole – not the smallest among available solutions. The anchor sits very flush, creating a neat appearance. Price per piece seems somewhat high for the package cost, but the clean installation compensates. A smaller size option or different sizes for various applications would be welcome. For heavy loads, performs excellently.

Bullfix already enjoy an excellent reputation. Search YouTube and you’ll find numerous comparison videos demonstrating their impressive holding strength. When mounting heavy items like TVs, ensure the grippy rear sections align vertically to counteract gravity – horizontal positioning is far less effective. The Bullfix system simplifies correct alignment without second-guessing, unlike the competing Gripit system. This particular kit targets those who’ve used inadequate fixings for heavy items, unfortunately ripping them from the wall and causing damage. Includes standard Bullfix fixings and drill bit, plus a guide for positioning the new hole directly over previous damage – preventing the drill from wandering off course.

As a handyman and DIY enthusiast, I enjoy testing new products – this repair kit caught my attention. Getting jobs right first time is always preferable and cheaper, but mistakes and unexpected problems happen to everyone. Trialled these on spare drywall – first deliberately botched a fixing to create something needing repair. The guide plate and flat drill enable drilling a perfectly-centred 20mm hole over the damage. Push in the collar next – tight fit possibly requiring gentle persuasion. Then insert the fixing and tap gently until wall-flush. Attach your item using the supplied screw. Done. Quite impressed – worked excellently on a messy wall plug hole. Uncertain whether spare fixings will be sold separately or if you’ll always need the complete kit with drill and guide. Only criticism is the price – works out at £2.19 per repair. For occasional use I could accept this as it should resolve problems permanently. The premium price does encourage getting jobs right first time.

Bought this after yet another wall plug surrendered in plasterboard. Honestly expected little, but credit due – this kit absolutely delivered. The drill guide made everything foolproof and the fixings feel completely solid once fitted. Remounted a shelf that had pulled from dot-and-dab plasterboard. Where conventional plugs spin or crumble, these heavy-duty anchors bit straight in and held firm. No messing, no filler – just proper grip. Relief to find something actually designed for fixing botched walls rather than papering over problems. If you’ve got hollow or stud walls and you’re fed up with failing wall plugs, definitely worth it. Professional results at DIY-friendly prices.

Picked up this kit after several wall plugs came loose in plasterboard – made the repair incredibly simple. Everything needed is included – heavy-duty anchors, screws, and drill guide for accurate positioning. Performed brilliantly on hollow walls and dot-and-dab plasterboard. The fixings feel substantially stronger than my originals. Used for remounting shelves and a TV bracket – everything feels completely solid. IMPORTANT: ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TV’S WEIGHT AND ASSESS RISKS BEFORE MOUNTING – WHAT WORKS FOR ME MAY NOT SUIT YOUR SITUATION. If wall plugs keep pulling loose or feel wobbly, this provides an excellent solution. Straightforward and delivers exactly what’s promised.

Really useful when you’ve drilled the wrong size hole or ended up forcing through a regular self-tapping or butterfly clip. Widen the hole as needed and push these in. Brilliant product – the repair kit’s location plate has four small spikes gripping the plasterboard, helping centre the supplied 20mm drill over the damaged hole. Apply some pressure to the plate and you can confidently drill dead-centre of the original hole – essential when matching other fixings. Worked perfectly for me – strongly recommend this product alongside the Bullfix fittings which delivered a really secure hold in my plasterboard wall.
